"Pimp My Church!"

Okay, so it's not The Summit (not yet anyway) but Metro Church in Youngstown, OH.

It's a hard-knock life...
The girls on the staircase just before cleaning the beautiful windows.
They did a fabulous job... on ladders and everything!

The fellas had their own staircase. They spent a lot of time in the Bell Tower. Well, they spent a lot of time making runs from the Bell Tower to the dumpster. And they were fabulous at it!!!
(I was told that Patrick is in this picture, maybe you can find him)

Let's make a garden!
I think that at one point we had almost every one of the 15 person team out front digging up grass to make room for a little scenic landscaping.
It was while we were digging up grass that a church member walked by and said "Pimp My Car? This is Pimp My Church!"

A new parking team for Danny Franks!
This is a before picture of sorts. They dug up all that grass! I don't have an after picture unfortunately but imagine an almost normal looking parking lot and that's about what it looked like!

This is one stage of building a door from scratch. The students did a great job learning how to do new things. (Ryan was there overseeing it step by step!)

Well, here we are. Dirt, sweat, grime, and all. The Shanks (Metro Church pastor and wife) joined us for a photo outside of the front of their new church.

The team did a lot of work in the past 48 hours - we even worked a nearly 12 hour day today (with fun breaks of course!). So, if your child went on this trip you may get them to help out with some new chores or projects around the house! :)

Great to see smiles on those grimy, sweaty faces! Good skills to learn just in time to help with the upcoming renovations at our church! ;-) Keeping y'all in our thoughts and prayers...
