DIY, fool proof

I was mounting a spice rack that was probably really a shadow box/shelf. I was pretty proud of myself for knowing to use this really neat screw system.
One of the screws wouldn't go into the wall. Then when I finally got it in I realized that it wasn't where it needed to be and was quite useless.
Step two? Well of course, insert screw system #2. Not happening.
Step three? Insert plain ole screw and not use the hook on the back of the spice rack anyway.
Rigged for sure!

I thought, "this sure would have been a whole lot easier if there was some sort of measuring or something."

Lo and behold, my next project did have a measuring template!

And I hung a completely level, in it's place the first time, towel bar!
