Elmo

If you live in Durham, you have to try Elmo's Diner on Ninth Street. It's a great local place (which means you'll be hard-pressed for parking so carpool or walk) that serves breakfast all day long. The other food is good too. You can walk out of there with a cheap meal and leftovers like I did this week. I got Back to Basics: 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, and a biscuit and came home with plenty home fries and 3/4 of their monstrously large biscuits for under $5. One more heads up for you: they won't put your name on the list until your entire party is there and ready to be seated. Not sure why. That's just the way it is.

Apparently the rest of the Triangle thinks this place is good too!
And, no, there aren't even hints of that little furry guy that you may have expected.
