And we're back

Let's start at the beginning (it's a very fine place to start). These amazing sketches were done by one of my lovely 8th grade girls - neat huh?!?!
Yummy, Crispy Chicken ala Alicia and friends!
I heart Durham!!!
The hopefordurham website is live. Check it out and find out how you can show the love of Christ in action and deed with the people of Durham.
Oh, and I really do love Durham!

Here's the most up-to-date... Our dry creek bed in our the backyard is no longer dry as you can see. It has been raining her for 40 days and 40 nights. Okay, not really but it sure seems like it. The real story is Dtown has been getting several day long rain parties, celebrations, get-downs, downpours, showers, storms (you pick). Yesterday the rains came a little after noontime and they just kept coming all day, all night, all morning. I'm talking BIG party! Just like Christmas morning, we woke up to see if there was snow. What we saw instead was a creek! We weren't really sure it wasn't going to rise on up and flood us out. But, like all good things (except the Lord), it had to come to an end. And, well, it did. The wind is still here but the rain has ended.
