Boxcar Children

We just got back from PEDESTRIAN (Fall Retreat 2006). We went to a camp that has rennovated boxcars for cabins - they are awesome! Some of the "eighties" (8th grade girls) mentioned that every time we referred to the cabins as boxcars, they thought of the book series "The Boxcar Children." Well, that happened to be one of my favorite series as a child (my grandparents had them at their home and made sure that each of us grandkids got to read them). Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Last fall we had 2 7th grade girls at retreat. This year we pulled out all the stops... we could fit 11 in the boxcar and we had 10! We had a great time learning about how to walk out our faith.
