Mom spent some time reading a book waiting for surgery.
Aren't they sweet?
At one point my dad walked into the waiting room followed by my brother. An older woman, who was walking out, stopped in her tracks and said, "They keep coming in younger and better looking!" I'm pretty sure that everyone in the waiting room (other than me) heard this and either laughed right out loud or smiled really big. What a great way to break the "my loved one is having surgery this morning" ice! My brother was beet-red for a good five minutes.
