I'll be home for Christmas

I have a friend who titled all her blog posts using song titles. She is so clever. I'm not quite so clever but every once in a while I like to use song titles too...

I actually had the song, I'll be home for Christmas, stuck in my head the whole time I was home. I made a discovery this year: that is a sad song. I'm not a fan. The "I'll be home for Christmas" line is a good one, right? I mean, what parent doesn't want their kids home for Christmas? But that's not the end of the line. It ends with "if only in my dreams." C'mon, what kind of a ending is that? A sad one. That's what kind.

On to the real post... I was at my parents' home for Christmas. Not in my dreams, in real life. But I fell down on the job of taking good pictures this year. Not sure what happened. So, in what now seems to be Christmas picture tradition, I present to you...

As it turned out of all of our tries at a normal family picture, the silly one is the best one. Really. So there is some "Simoneau pose" going on by my bro and a few cousins but the rest of us were fun! My aunt looks nice - I think she may have missed the "silly pose" memo. :)
